Campbell farm a couple of miles east of town lnt spring when a dance was in progress. In the "cold gray dawn of the morning atfer," Young Crosse woke up with a mighty sore head. He had a gash abou ttwo inches long cut (o the skull bone Just above his left ear. How it got there is the issue In the case. Crossen and his friends de clare that Fowe hit him with a pistol, but Young Rowe's friends say that he had no pistol but hit Crossen with his fist and knocked him down upon some scales and that it was in the fall that the gash was cut. The case has attracted more people to the-court room than any other iitai La been on tuts term.
