Union county's portion of this amount is 50 boxes. C. H. Conkey is collecting and arranging the apples for shipment. They will be sent to Mr. William Hall at the Oregon building on the 26th. The plan for the state's apple ex hibit In the Oregon building is an attractive one. A pyramid 75 feet high will be completely covered with ap ples and many plate3 will be used as additional decorations for the pyra mid. Mr. Hall writes that interest is in the Increase and that Union coun ty is making a good showing. The apples in this valley are especially good for exhibition purposes this year as the yield is light and the quality good. LAY PUS fOR DITCHES THROW OUT THE LIXE.
