During the nest two weeks there
will be a larger and more general
exodus from this city to higher schools
of learnings, than has yet been ex
perienced in the past. With the de
parture yesterday of Miss Jane Harris
for Ellensburg, the departure com
menced and will be kept up at regular
Intervals from now on. The Univer
sity of Oregon will draw the largest
delegation perhaps. Among those
who will register there the coming fall
are Ben Grout, who has been out one
year, and will return this fall, Will
N'elll, a freshman, James Nelll, senior,
Miss Pearl Huff, senior, Miss Naomi
Williamson, Junior, Joe Williamson,
freshman. Ivy Williams, Sarah Riddle
and perhaps Harry Stein.
O. A. C. will attract Jay Reynolds
lor his senior year, Cijua Day, Mian
Ethel McKennon and perhaps Charlie
Reynolds. Others are also planning
on going to the agricultural ; school
and others than those named are
thinking serious of attending the U.

Eight Young Ladles Band Themsel
ves Under Name of Le Jaunese.
Informal Invitation dances are to be
Inaugurated in the near future by a
young ladies' dancing club, formed
last night, and the first of the series
will be held this month at the Elks'
hall. Invitations will be out In the
near future, but one invitation is to
serve for the whole series. This is
a new venture In itself and is only
one of the features that are to mark
the dancing parties. It Is planned to
have at least one of these parties
each month until the new year. "Le
Jaunese" is the name of the club com
posed of eight young ladles, namely
Misses Ethel Gulling, Florence Mc-
Call, Gertrude Ralston, Irene Murphy,
Lulu Gulling, Frances Massee, Ruth
Bush and Mrs. A. W. Nelson.
Committees were appointed last
evening and the following officers
elected: Pres.,' 'Mrs. A. W. Nelson;
vice preseldent, Miss Ruth Bush;
sec, Miss Lulu Gulling, and treasurer
Miss Frances Massee.

money. how bis plot is lolled by
"Uncle Jash" and the happy termina
tion make a seeable play, which will
doubtless attract a large audience too.
Splendid specialties will be pre
sented during the various acts of the
drama. ,
