Some of the brightest galas of musicians and singers that have been in La Grande for many years were entertained by Mr. anl Mrs. Geddes today at SK2 O street. The party was breakfasted, and took lun cheon and dinner at the same place. The personnel of the Geddes house party is: Prof. Evan Stephens, con ductor of the most famous choir in the world, Bishop David Smith 'and his brother George Smith, who to gether are two of the three bishops and counsellors that govern the en tire Mormon church. Mrs. Edward, the popular soloist, who is well knowa here, and Mrs. Barnes and John Rob Id son, other noted soloists of th-j choir. Prof. McCIellan, who is undisputed leader of pipe organ manipulators in the world, by virtue of contests won where the world's famous players contested, was a guest during the day with Mr. and Mrs. F. K. Moore, W, O street J. D. Giles, Mr. McCIellan's man ager and Mr4 Best, the noted tenor, who is booked with German grand opera, are also guests with Mr. and Mrs. Moore. Prof. Kimball, another man of much importance to the choir, whose title and 'position Is assistant director, was a guest with Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Nib ley Jr., 1310 N avenue.
