CONSPIRACY CHARGES.
(Continued From rage One.)
days previous to the forming of -the
Washington Lumber concern, known
as the Northwest Lumber company.
These three men, the government says,
then caused deeds to be executed .o
the Lumber company and the title is
still held by them.
The government Js now trying to
cancel these titles, and In order to
do so have to produce evidence of the
alleged conspiracy, aud its that rea
son why Scrlber, Thomson and Spen
ser, must be brought into limeMght
here, that these titles tan be cancell
ed. It is not, of course, a civil proceed
ings against these three men to punish
them for conspiracy, but simply a
matter of proving the conspiracy ex
isted that the titles may be cancelled.
