(Continued from page 1.) the stand testifying relative to the facts regarding local option viola tions; that a campalga must be in stituted and that this was the pur pose of this organization to bring about a change. He stated that he was informed that a witness before the last grand Jury Informed him that he swore that he knew of three viola tions of the law In a certain drug store and yet the grand Jury brought in no true bill. The way the Dr. handed It to this class of violators, who under the guise of respectable business dealing, so violated their trust, was couched in no uncertain language. The speaker paid a high compliment to District Attorney Ivanhoe, whom he believed was try ing to do his duty and that this or ganization stood behind every offl cer who did their duty, but it was al so the object of this organization to see that they did. The encore that followed this straight out-and-out ad- drees, reflected true sentiment of those whose attendance meant some- "Good Citizenship," was the subject of the address of A. S. Geddes. He pleaded for. higher conditions, for but ter schools for the doing away of the places of vice which teares down the home; for a city that would appeal to the homseeker where he could lo cate with the assurance that his boys and daughters would be free from danger. Mr. Geddes picture of the ideal home, where love, virtue and greatest blessing that God could give, boys and girls was the highest pos sible citizenship and it devolved upon every county to eliminate everything that took away the blessing of such a home. He pleaded for a cleaner T.a Grande and Union county. At the conclusion of the program, Geo. Stoddard, who presided as chair man, remarked that he stood empha tic for everything that had been said, and stood ready to assist in every way possible to bring about the de sired condition. . Rev. Ford Ellis of the Christian church pronounced the benediction and one of the most enthusiastic meetings ever gathered in this city, whose object it was to bring about better enforcement of law, adjourned. It Is the desire of this organiza tion to have each vicinity n the coun ty organize similarly, and when 30 organized to form a county organi zation. - four want is placed before a thousand or more want-seekers every day Can you afford to spend one cent per. word of your wait au whe:e results' are the keynotes? : FOB RENT.
