PORTLAND, July 23. The construe
tlon of a two million dollar building
to cover the blocks bounded by Stark,
Tenth, "Washington, and Park streets,
will be begun by the 13th of Septem
ber. The trustee sof the company ac
cording to a formal announcement
made by C. N. Atkinson, general man
ager of the new company, the struc
ture wil have a double arcade, each
a block long, crossing each other. The
construction work will probably con
sume eighteen months.
