of Irish heath, has disappeared and
his wherabouts are causing unt61d
anxiety among his relatives and
friends. He was last seen In the St.
Francis hotel, where he registered un
der the name of Harold Morgan. Ac
cording to a letter received by the
hotel management. Brooke was to
have sailed for Honolulu, where his
relatives await him. on May 15. He has
not arrived there.

Deputy Takes Vacation.
Deputy Sheriff Lindgren will leave
for Baker City tomorrow morning, and
spend the day in preparing for a trip
to the Norway mine, near Cornucopia,
