While the new book waa nominally the guide for several days, it is not officially so until after pub lication of the notice mentioned. - The proclamation, officially, follows : , PROCLAMATION. Whereasj at a special election held in the city of La Grande, Oregon, on the 22nd day of June, , A. D. 1909, there was submitted to the legal voters thereof, a revised and consolidated charter of the City o t La Grande, Union county, Oregon, providing by an act entitled: "An act to provide a re vised and consolidated charter of the of April, A. D. 1909, and ordained and submitted to the people of tiald City by the council thereof by Ordinance No. 418, Series 1909, entitled: 'An Ordinance ordaining a revised and consolidated charter of the City of La Grande, Oregon, and submitting the same to the legal voters of said city for adoption or rejection at a special election to be held therein, on June 22nd, A. D. 1909; And whereas. at said special election on said June 22nd A. D. 1909, there were cast 293 votes for Bald revised and consolidated charter, and 37 votes aganst said charter; Now, therefore, I. M. K. Hall, May or of the City of La Grande, in Union County, State of Oregon, do hereby proclaim and declare Bald revised and consolidated charter adopted, and n full force and effect as the charter of the City of La Grande, from this date.
