Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Clark, of Ham
ilton, Mo., were over Sunday guents
in the E. E. Skiddle home, they will
visit Portland, Seattle and Victoria,
before returning home. Mr. and Mrs.
Clark, Mrs. Kiddle and C. H. Bidwell
were all old schoolmates, so it was a
happy reunion of old time friends.

Chief Rayburn this afternoon noti
fied the Hagenbeck-Wallace bill pos
ters that they were violating a city
ordinance by putting their advertis
ing matter on the telephone poles in
front of buildings. The show man be
came quite "sassy," and all but re
fused to obey the chiefs injunction;
but when he finally realized that he
is amenable to city ordinances just
the same as ordinary, mortals, he
agreed to at once remove the bills
objected to.
