May 28; With 893 working lines out of commission, by order of the civil authorities at Pasa dena, and with the Pasadena police men guarding the severed lines to see that no repairs are made until the people tax the franchise obtained ot the Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company, officials of the company met this morning to discuss the outlook. Between 2400 and 4700 telephones In Pasadena are not working. The city officials Intended only to cut local wires but made a mistake. Cables were cut, and Include two lines ' to San Francisco, one to Pomona, one to Covlna, and the Postal Telegraph cir cuit. They also put the city Are alarm out of commission. ' ' .
