Seldom if ever have eight men got themselves ready for a trip more promtly. Not withstanding the unsportmanlike me thods adopted by the managment of the meet, the team was ready when the train arrived, and instead of sleeping at home and taking the early morning train as planned, they were forced to undergo the tedious journy over the mountains to the wheat town. . The arrangements for the inee'. have been that preliminaries for the hurdle iace were to be run in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs.' Silverthorn and Mr. and Mrs. Bren holts ' will entertain at the Brenholts' home A moving picture reproduction of the Burns-Johnson fight, which oc curred in December at Sydney, will be the attraction for a matinee and night at Steward's opera house Wed nesday night. This is not a local affair, but Is a travelng organization under the direc tion of Hugh D. Mcintosh, the pro moter 'and referee of the tight, who is in America trying to arrange a match between Johnson and Jeffries, and who has brought the moving pictures with him. They are being shown simultaneously in various parts of the country, including the Audi torium theater in Chicago, and are attracting a great deal of attention on account of the fact that they were made in the open air, and are said to be the clearest of the kind ever at tempted. There has been a great deal of Interest manifested in the fight- between' Burns and Johnson, which derided 'the world's champion ship, and. as it occurred in Australia. Ihis is thf first time that American have had an opportunity of passing judgment on the relative values of 'lie two heavyweights. The pictures show every detail, and are long enough to occupy an eve ning In the presentation. There Is a lecturer with the films who explains the various iteresting events. Seats are now on sale.
