City "editof of the" Observer, j was preparing to go to 'alla to at- iruu lun iruin mum auu ioox arter the boys he has been coaching, he tulBsed his overcoat; knowing that he had left It in the office at noon time, the natural conclusion was that the coat had been stolen. Xo any rate the coat could not be found, and Mr. Nelson had to go without it. ? Wal ter Ferguson had all the police of the city looking for the coat, and it was thought thai some disreputable char acter might be picked up before morn ing with the. coat on his back. Yesterday about noon the coat was mysteriously replaced on the hook from which it had been taken the day before, and an investigation disclosed that Publicity Manager Fred B. Cur rey, . formerly of - the Observer, but now connected with the Commercial club as publicity man, and with the Merchant's Association as secretary, had need of a cout on a trip which he made to Cove; Wednesday afternoon.
