The value of live stock exhibits on the Pacific Coast has been thoroughly demonstrated by the success follow ing the live stock show fn Portland In 1905, and since that time, the west ern sales of two stock associations in the East have totalled over $1,000,000. The WeBt and Northwest are to- fields for high class stock develop ment, and this fact has been generally recognized by breeders. The expo sition appropriation of prize money and premiums is liberal, and this has been increased by offerings of indivi dual breeders and dealers to the ex tent of $10,000.
