Many a one was disagreeably sur prised at the dash and go and oftimes the brillant and spectacular effects In "A Bell Boy" as presented at the Steward last night- The first act was mediocre, but with uplifting of the - econd act things picked up with a vim and from then on to the last curtain it was a continuous round of laughter. Interspersed with excla mations or awe and surprise at the pWtrioal effects. There has only been one commedian in town this win ter who even commenced to equal the hard work of the Bell Boy and that was Johnnie Jones. To say that there is some "git" to the play presented last night, is hardly appropriate de scription. It was more than that at times. Jokes are .not staled and rusted with age,. neither are the stunts out or date. The chorus is small, but elegantly costumed. . ELECHOX JtXE 22.
