A meeting of the creditors of W.
It Kivette was held yeBterday after
noon In th office of John S. Hodgiu.
referee in bankruptcy. Several claims
were allowed, and some were rejec
ted. The main purpose of the meet
ing, aside from the hearing of a stilt
in replevin for the recovery of h hnr
and buggy, brought against the ref
eree by Mrs. D. C. Kivette, was to
discuss the condition of the affairs of
the estate. Kivette s affairs are In a
very tangled condition, and it Is prob
able that after the partnership busi
ness is settled, there will be little or
nothing left for the creditors. As yet
not a cent has been realized for their
benefit, and it will be some time be
fore the litigation incident to the part
nership in the North Powder firm is
settled.
