time and then go east where the navy
department has ordered the admiral
to report for duty.

attend the meeting of the creditors of

Koss Goodman arrived in the city
this morning, coming from Wapato,
Wash., to join Mrs. Goodman, who has
been here for some time visiting rel
atives. He will remain here a few
days.
J. A. Kennedy of Boise arrived this
morning and from now will act as
piano player at the Scenic theatre. He
is an expert in his line. In addition
to playing the piano he will have
charge of the Scenic orchestra.
Rev. W. S. Seeman, retiring mod
erator of the Eastern Oregon Presby
tery, returned today from Baker City,
accompanied by his wife, who was
one of the officers at the missionary
meeting of the presytery. .
Clarence Johnson came in from La
Grande last week and will make his
home with his grandparents. Mr. and
Mrs. H. W. Beecher of Aide Slope.

fait coffee and relishes were served.
Three beautiful prizes were given the
winners namely, a highly colored and
illustrated book "Sweeter still than
this;" as first prize, "The other one"
as second prize, and "An old sweet
heart of mine." as thfrd prize.
