George Smith of Indiana is now
employed at the Lv C. Smith garage
as expert engine and motor repairer.
He comes highly recommended for
this work. He arrived last night and
is already in his position.
J. A. King the cigar maker yester
day cut one or his fingers severely
necessitating a .layoff. He has wired
to Portland to get a cigar maker who
will till the many rush orders as
quickly as possible.

Fred N. Fox, the popular O. A. C.
graduate, came in on the Elgin train
today. Mr. Fox has just completed
his labors as teacher at Imbler. He
contemplates a visit to the Bend coun
try, where his brother Lon Fox Is.

Rev. C. E. Deal yesterday united
Clarice Cottrell and Eunice Bell in
marriage at the home of. the bride's
parents. 1201, Sth street. Several rel
atives and near friends were present
at the wedding. Both are well-known
iii this city wher they have made their
homes of late. They will live here.
