A large dairying and farming deal
was consummated nere Saturday, when
Thomas Morgan sold to Hugh Wilson
the only larse "dairying outfit in the
county, whiiih Includes 1 On cows and
a .milking machine, and In which deal
land within one mile of Joseph was
transferred l a price in excess of $100

which he carried on his dairying, for
$8000, at a profit of about $2500 in

a still larger profit In proportion than
the other, which is probably explained
by the fact that the one Is within less
than a mile of Joseph, and the other

Carbine has been for the past five!
months disposing of 75 carl nails of
Grande' Rondo valley apples.; H
states his trip was financially satis
factory. However, the highest price
he received for any of his stock was
$1.50 per box on board the cars at La
Grande. Of these 75 cars handled, 42
were disposed of In the Texas market,
after he reached there. He says that
Grande Ronde apples were equal to
anything shipped into that section of
the country and the competitors were
the choice packers from sK the fruit
growing sections of the northwest.

this time, having come to the conclu
sion that the order made by the ref
eree, disallowing said claim to pref
erence, is Just, proper, and In accord
ance with the law. It is now, here,
ordVred and 'adjudged that the said
