borhood was accidentally smothered to
death Friday night. The particulars
of the case make a very sad story, says
the Pendleton East Oregonian.
Friday night the fpthrT mother
of the Infant attended un entertain
ment held at Nolln. They returned
home late at nlgnt, both fatigued from
the trip. Retiring for the night the
mother went to sleep with the little
child in her arms. When she awoke
the following morning the bby was
dead. It had been smothered to death
during the night. Since then the

grief and general sorrow is felt for
both husband and wife.
The little child was burled at No
lln yesterday. The Krauses live on a
farm several miles north -of Xolin.
