to figures given out by the state
board of tax levy last Saturday. The
grand total which the taxpayers of
Oregon are to raise for the coming
year Is $1,680,697, of which amount

sources. Twenty-one counties In the
state received a lesser levy than
Union, placing this county thirteenth
in the state.
