Young Man at Canyon City Oonunlts - Suicide on Christmas. Canyon City, Dec. 29. H. A. Cohov. 21 years of age, son of D. C. Cohoe, a prominent man in northern Grant county, was found on the streets of Canyon City Christmas evening In the last agonies of death, the result of u dose of strychnine taken with suicidal Intent. Medical assistance was sum moned, but death resulted almost lm mediately. Despondency and Imagin ary troubles prompted the act. Cohoe arrived in Canyon City - the day Ttefore Christmas from Harney pnnntv( whim hmA wt nt wnrV on a stock ranch. He was en route to nts Tiome at Hamilton. Christmas day, drinking with some friends, he inti mated that he had planned to tako Ills life. In the evening he procured the strychnine at the drug store. Ha then went directly to the hotel, and calling for Theresa Mulcare, a wait ress, aaked for a glass of water. Pouring the strychnine Into the glass he drank It, requesting her to 'phone to his people to come with a coffin. Ten minutes later he was heard on one of the back streets call ing for assistance.
