Mrs. Flora A. Dice has sent a check
to Nledner to cover one-fourth of the
100 per cent assessment, amounting to
$250. This, too, shows a spirit com

stockholders to payments of assea-

JURY TAKES STROLL.
Mlnnk-k Jury In.xvt6 Earmarks on
Calve Alleged Stolen.
The wheels of Justice are grinding
quietly but effectively at the circuit
court today. The case of John Min
nlck, pharged with the larceny of a
couple of heifer calves from William
Ogden, Is still occupying the attention
of Judge Knowles. District Attorney
Ivanhoe and Attorney Leroy Lomax.
and 12 Jurymen today. At 11 o'clock
this morning the Jury adjourned to a
back lot somewhere In the city, where
the said calves were securely hitched
and made a minute Inspection of the
brands and earmarks. At 1 o'clock
the attorneys were addressing the Jury
and the case will undoubtedly go to
the Jury some time this afternoon.
Several other cases are set for the
latter part of the week, but tomorrow
the court will listen to the argument
in several motions and some minor
