' The special Thanksgiving bill last evening at the Scenic was especially good, One of the most pleasing at tractions was the turn by Helen Bran don and Blanch Bishop. They make a strong team and it seems a sin to spoil so good a combination by dis solving the team. " They caught v the house with their football skit In which they gave the La Grande yell with all the Vim of young Grady himself. As a matter, of fact, It has been Bald upon man has had the ladles upon the roof of the theater a couple of hours each day for the past week, drilling them on the various difficult features of this specially composed yell. This fcet took so well With the football boys, that early this morning flowers began to arrive from the well pleased mem bers of the football squad for this popular vaudeville team, and by noon additional room In which to place them had to be provided. Willie Peare says that he can plainly see why Miss Bishop was able to handle the yell so scientifically, as she undoubtedly drew Inspiration from his white and blue cap which she wore during the act. There wTll be an entire change of bill this evening. Madam Hoyt will again dot her great balancing act ipon the rolling globe, while she Juggles fire, flags and discs. This is a strong act and' always brings hearty applause. The feature bill for this evening Is the groat spectacular film, "Th Lights and Shadow of China Town." This film shows the world famous San Francisco Chinatown as It was before the earthquake. It Is a strong num ber and one which is sure to please. Hie Pastime.
