Taylor of Uhe Amalgamated Sugar company and F. S. Bramwell, formerly with the company, returned last evening from Wallowa county, where, with Salt Lake officials of the company, they held meetings at Jos eph, Enterprise and Lostlhe. The response for acreage was lib eral. Some of the Influential men of Lostlne and Enterprise have signified their intentions of setting aside tracts of land for sugar beet purposes and many others have agreed to plant smaller tracts to beets. Conditions are so favorable says Mr. Taylor, that It Is "more than likely that the company will soon make suear beets an Import ant industry of Wallowa county, es peclally about Lostlne and Enterprise.
