Portland will go to Spokane on Fri day, December 11, to attend the Na tional Apple fair and this will be the first trip of Its kind over the "North Bank" road. Pullmans, diners and parlor-observation ears will make the train, The visitors will have all day In Spokane and return so that the scenic portion of the trip will be made .by daylight, arriving" 'home at 5:30 Sunday afternoon. A conference of the officers of the State Dairy association at Salem has determined the details of that conven tion December 10 and 11. Te ses sions will be held In Yw Liberty the ater, while a commodious hall has been secured for exhibits. The board of trade of that city will receive ex hlbltsand care for them so that they will be In excellent condition for dis play. Messrs. William M. Ladd, Dr. E. N.
