WEST, i The Well Driller Daily Observer 65c per AontH In the near future there will be at least three, changes In locations of business firms In the postofflce block on Adams avenue and the addition of one. new firm to the city directory, meaning considerable Improvements to the store front of one of the buildings, As announced before, the Newlln Drug stre and the Newlin Book & Stationery company will leave their present location, the drug store going Into the building now occupied by the Penlngton & Co. clothing store, the book store moving to the room now occupied by the drug store, the J. H Peare Jewelry store moving east one door to the room occupied now by the book store, and thus leaving one loca tion open. New Finn Market. In this vacancy, where Peare's stand now Is, will go a new fish market to be owned and conducted by Dick Kelley. According to announcement he Is to run an up-to-date fish mar ket. dealing In a full .line that, will meet demands now seriously felt. At present It ,1s oftentimes hard to se cure fresh fish, and with a firm deal ing In that line alone, exerting all Its energies in that line, the result will be that La Grande will have practically as fresh fish as any Portland market. Improvement Now on. The Little Midget meat market has been enlarged. The front similar to the Peare show window has been torn down and a new and more sightly front put In Its place. The market it self has been enlarged. In a . short time the show window of the Peare shop will be treated as the Midget market window Is now. Furniture Store's Location. By the removal of the Penlngton & Co. stock to the room now occupied by Adcook & Fritts, the latter firm has been forced to make preparations for moving,' and the new- location of that furniture store will be the Slater building, on Jefferson avenue. Thl will place three furniture stores of the city In one block, and Incidentally help to make Jefferson avenue a more pop ular thoroughfare. All these moves will be made by the first of November, It Is believed. The entire family of one Abel Jones Is missing and eastern relatives are searching for Information leading to their wherabouts.
