Bedford, lnd.. Sept. 22. Near tho pot where the body of Miss Schafer, i young school teacher, was found lircc years uro. the body of a beauti ful young girl, undoubtedly murdered the name way as Miss Schafer, Vvas llsiovered today. The face wus flat toned by a heavy blow the same as was done In the Schnfer ca.e. No fuel famine this winter, says the Pendleton E. O. The entire inner portion of ootr Ixxlies is covered with a soft, delicate ininjf called mucous membrane; this is kept in healthy condition by the lounsliment and vital vijror it receives from the blood. So lonjr as the irculatton remains pure this membrane will be healthy, but when the blood lecomcs infccted.with catarrhal impurities ami oisoris this inner lininjr of he body becomes irritated and diseased, and the unpleasant and serious iymptoma of Catarrh commence. There is a tight, stuffy feclin" in the .lose, watery eyes, buzzing noises in the ears, often slight rcnfness,"difncult breathing, etc. The disease cannot be reached by extci nal treatment, though such measures afford temporary relief in some instances. S. S. S. cures Catarrh by cleansing the blood of all impurities and ioisons Then as rich pure blood circulates throuuh the body, the inflamed, irritated membranes heal, the discharge ceases, headaches are relieved and every symptom disap pears. Catarrh, ling a disease iu which the entire blood circulation is fTeeted, can only be cured by a remedy that goes to the very bottom and removes every pnrttcle of the impuritv from the blood, and this is just what S. I 'mi Over TwoH Thousand Acres of Small Grains Threshed, tho Average Yield la 65 Bushels to the Acre . Enormous Payroll for One Farm .Scientific'. Forming Alone Cause . bl Largo and Paying Yields.' Picture a large farm, naturally part ly too wet for practical purposes In places and seml-arld In others, but now scientifically drained and irri gated; picture 153 men working on one ranch where two threshing ma chines and one baler are separating the golden grain from the chaff and compressing the hay Into - convenient sized bales for transportation; picture 40 teams, all working on the same farm, and then you have a panoramic photograph of the Hall : ranch near Union, operated by the Amalgamated Sugar company. Perhaps nowhere In Oregon, or the northwest for that matter, is there a farm that employs go many men all actively engaged as this same farm, considering the acreage of the ranch. But. th r.arUatv me ram; this year, is what scientific farming has done for the place. Formerly It was too wet In spots to be used at all, and sadly in need of Irrigation In others. Scientifically, the managers have drained a patch here and put water oh a patch there, until they can announce that of 2200 acres of small grain threshed so far . this year, the average yield per acre Is 65 bushels. The small grains include barley, wheat and oats. This remarkable yield Is en couraging to, the valhy farmers and tho company as. well, as it represents what can be done with any class ol farm land, once the proper steps to secure the desired end are followed out. Manager Sebbelov, who oversee? the field of activity of the company, is largely responsible for the splendid crops. He has coped successfully with natural conditions and is able to har vest a paying crop for his employers. AGED PARENTS ARE ILL. Mrs. hca Called to Portland on Ac count of Ulitos of Parents. Mis.
