(Special.) The Y. M. C. A. of the University of Oregon has devised a novel and effective method for as sisting nev students to find boarding and rooming places. - They will erect a large tent near the depot, where headquarters will be established and fuU information kept In regard to all boarding houses. The prizes will be awarded to anyone re- 4 gardless of club affiliation, . as 4 the city as a whole Is conducting 4 the enow. 4 44 4 4 444444444444 The annual La Grande aster show will be given In this city next Satur day afternoon and nlght, and those In charge are the busiest mortals In the city today. Committee meetings are frequent and from time to time new details are worked out that will, whn the time comes for the big event, make the affair a huge success. The show will be held in the IvnlghU of Tythlus hall, In the post lfflcrt building, and the festivities will hold out for the afternoon and eve ning. The hours for the doors to opon In the afternoon Is 2 o'clock, and from that hour until 5 the show will bo ronducted In all its glory. For u period of two hours the doors will be I'lnsed, and thn at 7 o'clock until 10 o'clock the evening performance will bo given.
