Curat Hay fever anil Summer Cold. A. J. Nusbaum, Batesville, Ind., writes: "Last year I suffered for three months with a summer cold so dis tressing that it Interfered with my business. I had many of the symp toms of hay fever, and a doctor's pre scription did not reach my case, and I took several medicines which seem ed to only aggravate my caso. For tunately I Insisted upon having Fo ley's Honey and Tar and It quickly cured me. My wife has since used Foley's Honey and Tar with the same success." A, T. Hill, druggist "GOLV A-FISHIX'." Boyhood RemlnlHccnew From the State of Illinois. After a long, hot week of corn plowing, comes Saturday morning bright and fair; a few tali weeds are left along the rail fence, just enough to keep us all hustlln' until noon; then we go flshln' down to the cool, shady banks of the old Sangamon river; ever there? Come on, let's get some grub-worms and our fish polos not the patent or the "cutty-hunk" kind, but birch, long and willowy, black flax lines twisted nnd doubled, couple o' bird shot for sinkers and an oyster can of ,(mibs bl;r. ' fat, creamy Mlows, half ns long as your flnjjer, and we are off for a big mes of sunfish, black lerch maybe crap pies. Down the iane one-half mile and here we are. Jut-t a little breeze moves the tops of the tall straight p!n-oaks, and the ghostly sycamre with its fan-like leaves quivering Just enough to let down long streams of sunlight that shimmer on the deep black water like burnished silver. Clouds rf June flics and gauzy winged gnats float aim lessly over the water, now up, now down, skimming the surface; and many sharp, quick splashes indicate that there are othr eyes than ours watchln gthe motions of the luckless bug and fly adding to the bill of fare of the hunter below the sharp-eyed skag. Ths fisher of all fishers eyes us suspiciously from his point of safety until a loud "shoo" and fierce brandishing of rod causes him to sink with scarcely a rlppl ohly to appear 50 yards away as silently as he left, and Just as curious. The beautiful blue-coated, kingfisher greets us with a raucous yell and pounces upon an unsuspecting minnow that floated in range of his unerring marksmanship. High up on a dead saag, a crimson crested woodpecker Tiammers a loud tattoo that echoes to the other shoes,, and skims away where boys were not. With trousers to knee, we coon it out on a fallen tree slicker than grease with moss and slime; ' har.girlg our feet, over the log into cool water be low, we get the proper "deep" with out bottle-stopper' "bob," and while hordes of hungry minnows nibble pur toes, we wait for a bite. ., One minute, two minutes, three minutes! How still, save the droning of thousands of bees high lap in 'sil very leaved maples; the woods-seems to sleep. f Hey, there, you're getting a bite! Three oi four gentle little pulls, a sharp, tug, and down and away goes your boTJ. Down, down. Oh, he's got a good hold on it a little pull and out comes sunfish numberone, flut tering and gasping, full of fight. Ain't R a; beauty? Blue and gold back and side, wlth peacock eye on tall of gill; god, big owe, almost a pound. Run a string through its mouth, hang it in the water, and wait; not long, they are all around, and hungry, too. and an hour's sport gives you a fine string. Long shadows and pestiferous swarms of 1 hungry mosquitoes warn and sore from long sitting, you wind up your line for home, well pleased with your afternoon's spbrt, and mess Of fish.
