Turner( deputy game warden of Pendleton, it is unlawful to hunt deer with dogs. As the official no tice implies, the rumor is prevalent that dogs may be used to pursue the fleet-footed animal, but the attorney general has ruled otherwise. In fact. It was the general impression in this city that dogs could be put on the chase this year and not thereby incur the wrath of the game wardens. How ever, the following official notice from the game warden department of the state dispels all such privileges: Warning to Hunters. As the impression, that It Is lawful to kill deer pursued by dogs during the open season, has gone forth, I wish to state that In accordance with a de cision rendered by the attorney gen eral, it Is unlawful to kill deer pur sued by dogs, at any time of the year, aM that the law will be rigidly en forced.
