He hacked her body to pieces with a razor and a butcher knife and planned to throw the parts of .the remains into the ocean from a steamer, and then go to New Tork. He says he slept all night after killing the woman. He cut the body in pieces the following day. He said he quar reled with his wife, who struck him. He knocked her down stairs, where she was found dead. He put the hack ed body in a trunk, which aroused the suspicions of the hackman.
