The groom has been affiliated with
professional baseball in the Inland
Empire for the past year or so, and
Is now conducting the Coliseum skat
ing rink until the next baseball season

O. R. & N. vs. John Estlock is a

to La Grande. The land is now being
used for yard purposes.
The Crane .& Co. vs. Erie Heating
Co..1 In which the O. R. & N. Is placed
a co-defendant, Is a mechanic's lien
of $1500.
J. D. Case vs. O. R. & N. is a pe
culiar case. It has been In court on
the dockets since 1905, and for some
reason is' not being pushed. The
plaintiff alleges that a spark from an
engine belonging to the O. 'R. & N.
destroyed property belonging to Mr.
Casey.
Catherine C. Rogers vs. O. R. & N.
Ik a case where Mrs. Rogers is trying
: jr"cure egress to her property,
which is now enrlrcled by yard tracks.
She asks for $2000.

The Messrs. Wm. Banton, Mose El
ledge and Roy Oliver are still at work
with their threshing machines.
Miss Eula Peebler, one of the cooks
with. Roy Oliver's machine, reports
that Mr. Oliver was fortunate enough
lo save everything but some grain In
the fire Tuesday.
John Graham made a business trip
to Wolf creek Sunday, returning
home Tuesday. He was accompanied
by his nephew, Edward Graham.
Miss Lucy McCIure was among those
who went on the excursion to North
Beach.
Mrs. Andrew Elliott, who resides
near Union, spent 8unday with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. John McCau
ley, sr.
John McCauley, sr., who has been
delivering, the farmer's cream dally
