E. II. Harrlman, the Southern Pacific
magnate spending his vacation at Pel
ican Bay, has no great- revelations to
make to Governor Chamberlain, but
desires to win hint over to the corpor
ation view of American life, since he
Is certain to become a United States
senator, says an Eugene paper. Hnr
rlman, it Is said, feels that a great
crisis Is about to occur in the railroad
affairs of the nation, and Is far from
certain that he will have' enough Unit
ed States senators In his hunri to stave
off the threatened storm.
Yesterday Chamberlain spoke to
the people of Klamath Fulls, but noth
ing of any conseqetim-e, was given out
officially as to what reason Hnrrlman
had for asking the governor to come
to him clear across the state.
Wheat farmers must of necessity

It requires almost the same machinery
