Cured liny Jovcr and Summer Cold.
" A, J, Nusbaum, ' Bateavllle, , Ind.,
Writes: "Last year I suffered for three
months with a summer cold so dis
tressing that It Interfered with niy
business. I had many of the symp
toms of hay fever, and a doctor's pre
scription did not reach my case, and
I took several medicines which seem
ed to only aggravate my ease. For
tunately I .Insisted upon having Fo

cured m. . My wife has since used
Foley's Honey and Tar with the same
success." - A. T. Hill, druggist.

ette valley may always remain as the
garden spot of Oregon, but the Grande
Ronde Is certainly fitting to be Its
front lawn. ' With its wonderful soil.
so much of It sub-Irrigated, It seems
capable of producing anything that
win endure its climate. And a ride
through this wonderland soon con
vinces one that It Is making good Its
promises. , The cherry season Is now
on. Oregon's great fame as a pro
ducer of the highest' quality of this
luscious fruit would not suffer ma
terially If all the cherry sections but
this one should be suddenly wiped off
the map. They certainly are fine and
plentiful. ' Twenty-five; thousand
pounds had gone out of one orchard,
with two staple varieties -still unhar-vested.
- Apples are promising well; the sec
ond cutting of alfalfa is Just going in;
grain harvest Is Just beginning, and,
though a little short of a' full crop,
still promises well. Sugar heets, the
distinctive crop of this valley, are
making an excellent growth, and their
care Is furnishing employment to t
large number of people.
Tho people are .busy, thrifty and ap
parorrtly contented, and who could
wish them more.
