Ladles of the Presbyterian Church Will Hold Bazaar In December. , The Ladles' Aid osclety of the Pres byterian church met yesterday after noon at the home of Mrs. Oliver with a good attendance, JO members being present Tho greater part of the af ternoon was apent In completing plans for a Moonlight festival to be given Friday, August 14, at the home f of Mrs. E. M. Anson. The ladles also wish to announce that they will hold their annual Bazaar this year, the first week In December, which they hope to make a complete success, the work for the different booths being under headway at the present time. Bert Phillips was arrested last eve ning by Constable Faulk, charged with being drunk and disorderly- This morning he was put on the carpet and qulszed as to where he got the fire water which caused the disturbance. After lengthy cross-examination and questioning, the officers gave up the task, the prisoner being steadfast in his determination not to "squeal." Those who attend the Sherwood this evening will find that the usual high standard of the house Is being kept up. The program which Is published In the regular house space announces several strong numbers, but the strongest one Is the Ragplcker'a Daughter. This Is really the feature number. Other numbers are good and there will be ample opportunity to laugh and there Is a thriller or two for those who Injoy holding their breath. Remember that the Sherwood Is just the place to get in out of the hot weather, for the num erous electric fans and the splendid system of ventilation all help to re duce the temperature. Mr. Bruce will sing the Illustrated songs this evening, while Mr. Ferrln allows His voire a few days' rest. You all know how well Mr. Bruce can operate tho piano, and his singing Is equally pleasing.
