ter ordinance will be introduced and
passed, as a result of steps taken laat
evening by the city council.

sent, the council selected F. L. Meyers
as president, and Mr. Meyers will have
all powers of a mayor except the
veta authority until the council
meets again. : There was the ' usual
amount of routine matter to come up.
Special business to be dealt with were
the electric power supply and the re
port of the tlty book experter, J. B.
Eaton.. In the former matter definite
assurance was given the council that
the Grande iRonde Electric company
would have ample power supply In the
future, nnd In the latter the report of
Mr. Eaton was referred to the finance

The charter business was taken up.
