They found General Manager O'Brien willing to grant the requeit, and as a result the brotherhood here Is making preparations for the record breaking picnic of the year. Nowhere In Wallowa county or in eastern Ore gon on the O. R. A N la there a place more suitable for a banket picnic than right on the Looking Glass just paet the Palmer junction and here it is that two excursion trains of eight coaches each will be destined on Aug' uet I. - The first train will leave about 7 o'clock and the second section a half hour later, according to present plana. However. , exact leaving time will be announced In due time. The First Train In. These two excursion trains will be the first pnivenrrer trains to cruse the newly?lnld steel Into Wallowa county. The Looking Glass country Is amout 34 miles from La Grande and will afford a delightful trip for those who pur chase tickets. The return trip tickets will be II.
