Much Needed Transportation Facul ties Assured Garden City. It Is believed that Walla Walla is soon to be given a daylight train to Portland over the Northern Pacific and North Bank roads, as N. P. of ficials of this city are today compar ing possible schedules of trains of the two roads. At the same time a day light train to Seattle and Spokane will be made possible for Walla Walla residents, and the long delay in Pasco will practically be done away with, relates the Bulletin. With the completion of the large bridge of the North Bank across the Willamette river at Portland, trains will be inaugurated on that road be tween Pasco and Portland. It is ex pected that this bridge will be ready for use ubotit the lust of this month. and it Is probable that by the first of August the day Huh t train from Walla Walla will be inaugurated. In order to do this, two trains each day between Walla Walla and Pasco rwlll be necessary. A train that would make the daylight ride to Portland possible would have to run out of Walla Walla in the morning, leaving here In time to reach Pasco by 11 o'clock. But if this train could be run out of Walla Walla In time to reach Tasco at :2G in the morning, connection could be made with trains for Seattle and Spokane, as well as the train on the North Bank for Portland. m t4ttt"4-M4 444t4 t COMBS, NEW, THE FINEST EVER WASH COLLARSWHITE TIES MIDSUMMER MILUVERY tnxmiinm & co.
