It. & N. wires now terminating at -Elgin, on to Joseph. This Is a task of no small proportion. A crew of 18 men arrived today from,Portland with equipment to do the work, and they will start the 80 days' task tomorrow, under supervision of Mr. Mann. The O. R. A N. will do the construction f work and have a aeries of wires with which to run trams from here to Jo- j seph when the service is put on. ' In J addition to the O. R. AN. wires there will be a Western Union wire in con nection and thereby telegraphic com munication with Wallowa county will be established. It Is planned to es tablish relay offices at Enterprise and at Joseph for the Western Union. O. R. & N. wires Invariably follow the construction of a new road, but the construction of Western Union service Is. a boon to residents of the Interior county, as telephone relays have heretofore been resorted to. . It will talre approximately 09 days to complete the line on to the destin ation of the branch line. There will be about three linemen and 15 ground men 'employed during that time. The crew and material arrived today. j Stimulation Without Irritation. In case of stomach and liver trou ble the proper treatment Is to stlmu- <m ttiAM MMiia Mlh... I I. ... I them.
