made the trip of more than 300 miles
alone, half of the distance by stage,

tured the attention of the audience.
On Sunday, religious services were

Inspiring and was thoroughly enjoyed
by all,
This sixth annual reunion closed on
Monday, June 22, end the members
ire already planning their return trip.
As 'they go to their several homes they
will carry with, them that feeling of
affection toward one , another, we
hope, that inspired them to make the
pilgrimage to this place of family re
union. In passing It might be mentioned
thst, with the exception of the annual
meeting of the Kelly clan near Port
land, which Is about the same strength
as the Rlnehart clan, this la the only
large annual family gathering held In
the northwest, and probably the only
one on the Pacific slope.

RESTORATION TO EXTUT OF -LANDS
IN NATIONAL FOREST.
Notice Is hereby given that the
lands described below, embracing 110
acres, within the Imnaha National
forest, Oregon, will be subject to set
tlement and entry under the provisions
of the homestead laws of the United
States and the act of June 11, 1906
(34 Stat., 233), at the United States
land office at La Grande, Oregon, on
August S, 1908, Any Bettler who has
actually and in good fnlth claiming
any of said lands for agricultural pur
poses prior to January 1, 1908, and
has not abandoned same, has a pref
erence right to make a homestead en
try for the lands actually ' occupied.
Said lands were listed upon the ap
plications of the persons mentioned
below, who have a preference right
subject to the prior right of any such
settler, provided such settler or appli
cant Is qualified to make homestead
entry and the preference right Is exer
cised prior to August I, 1908, on which
data the lands will be subject to set
