Herretan'. are the finest in Eastern ash ; Meal ili BERKY Mllwaule has the unique distinc tion of being the only city In the north west with a paper berry box factory, says a Portland paper. This is the property of J. W, Grnsle & Son. As far as Is known this Is the. first time such a berry box has. ever made its appearance. Eight people are cm ployed in the factory, which turns out 85,000 boxes dully and Is, unable to meet the demand now made by grow ers. With the Installation of addition al machinery next week and the em ployment of more helpers, Mr. Granle expects to be able to produce 60,000 berry boxes dally. All of the present output Is finding ready sale around Milwaukle. The box la aold at a slightly cheaper price than the tin-top wooden berry box and la much more durable. It may be filled a dozen times without Impairing its usefulness, while the ordinary box breaks up after being used once or twice. ' Howard Grasle has a patent on the smaller box manufar:-rd by the com pany. The large square box la not patented by Grai;.ii, i. as fir as known this Is the fif --Tance of this box In the northWvHt nv'tet. The smaller boxes are made i 0114 piece of heavy brown cardboaiu, and the larger of two pieces. The Inside of the box Is treated with para fine, mak Ing It impervious to moluture and In creasing the life of the box almost In definitely. Mr. Grasle hopes to mnUe the MllwHUkio factory a northwest distributing point for the boxes. SVCCKSSOK FOR SATTERLf '.E. Another Attempt to Elect Knnfumir to Hie tate I'.pl-iil nuimp, Washington.
