In Oregon.
All Oregon seems to have been
aroused and enthused over the new
home of the Portland Commercial
club. At one luncheon last week there
were representatives from 15 differ

convention hall on the sixth floor, In
which all Oregon's organized bodies
will be welcome. Is a central feature.
Every picture hung upon its walls is
an Oregon scene, and In this room
during the next few years will be
enacted much of Interest and moment
to every man, woman and child of
Oregon.
Ashland Is especially prosperous and
happy. A lino of shade trees to the
number of 400 have been planted on
either side of the boulevard, leading
from the city to the Normal school
and new residences are encroaching
upon surrounding orchards.
Astoria covered herself with glory,
affording her citizens and visitors re
served seats to witness the passing of
the fleet.
Excursion parties from California,
Washington and Idaho will be added
to those which come from all points
In Oregon to Portland during the Rose
festival.
Arrangements are being perfected
by the executive committee of the
Portland Commercial club, to secure
