' Couthy School Superintendent E. E. Bragg passed through here today. SELL IRRIGATED LAND. About Two Thousand Farms, Includ ing Oregon Land, Sold Today. Washington, May 1. Neftrl'y 2000 farms were put on the bargain coun ter today by Uncle Sam and will be disposed of to the first persons who comply with the government provis ions for their disposal. All of the land is contained In Irrigation projects constructed by the government In the semi-arid districts of the west. The area, of the farms ranges from 10 to 160 acres each. Purchasers will ' be allowed 10 years in which to pay for them. In Nevada, in connection with the Truckee-Carson project, 1000 farms of 80 acres each can tje taken up with an entry fee of $8 and $3 an acre annually for 10 years. In Oregon 200 farms will be avalla' ble on the Umatilla project of from 10 to 20 acres each. These lands will cost from $600 to $1200. " In South Dakota 175 farms will bo available In tracts of 80 acres, and In Wyoming 200 on the North Platte pro ject, costing from $600 to $1200.
