Miss Lona Richardson, sister of Mrs. Arthur Williamson, left this morning for San Francisco for an ex tended visit, and to be present at the arrival of the Atlantic fleet Physical Director Shockley of the Pendleton Commercial club, is among the baseball players who arrived last evening. Mr. Shockley had charge of the girls' basketball team which played here last winter. Twenty-six tickets were sold by the local O. R. A N. office for Walla Walla today. CITY VACATED DURIHC GAME - Manager Larlmore arrived In La Grande last evening with his Pendle ton .Pets and today trotjed his nine out on the local baseball park for the first of a series of two games with O'Brien's club team. The event here today was attended with considerable Interest. Business houses throughout the city closed at 2:80 and a bumper crowd saw the first real game of the season here. Mayor Hall was aBked to throw the first ball. Hlggens opened the game for La Grande as pitcher.
