3. E. Shirts of Canada, who Is here
looking over the valley with a view
of locating. Is especially interested at
present in looking up our fruit in
dustry from the standpoint of a can'
nery. Mr. Shirts, prior to moving to
Canada, built and operated the first
cannery in Utah county, which today
Is a large and prosperous Institution.
He sees no reason why a cannery and
dryer combined would not be a good
business enterprise In this valley,
both from an operators viewpoint, as
well as the grower. He has not yet
made up his mind, but wjll make a
careful examination of our conditions
and may decide to do something In
this line. He Is well pleased with the
valley and will undoubtedly Invest and
make this his home.
