Plans have been perfected for the
debate Friday night In this city, be
tween the Baker City high school and
the Union high school, says the Her

Resolved, That the government
should own and operate the railroads

have the negative and think they can
show that It would not be practicable
for the government to attempt such
work.
The musical part of the program
will be one of the features for there
will be several selections by the la
dles' octet, besides the usual quota of
high school songs and yells.' This
contest Is quite Interesting to Baker
City, for La Orande and Pendleton
have lost to their opponents and Ba
