J. Black and J. L. Smith leave tonight for eastern Idaho to round up homeseekers for the Grande Ronde valley.. Mr. Black will also establish branch agencies in that part of Ida ho. Mrs. George H. Currey and son Al bert, left this morning to visit for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Dickey, C. E. Dickey and Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Boynton, who reside a few miles out from Baker City. Appropriate Washington Day exer cises are being held in the various rooms of the public school today. The G. A. R. and W. R. C. marched in a body to the new brick school in North La Grande.
