CITY LAWS
Carl Laistad was ' arraigned this
morning before Recorder Snook on a
charge of disorderly conduct brought
about by looking too often upon the
wine cup. He pleaded guilty and was
fined I?.
Harry McClary was arraigned on
the charge of violating the quarantine
ordinances of the city. It seems that
he was caring for a patient that was
undfr quarantine for the smallpox,
and becoming lonesome, he thought
he would come up town and have a
drink or two with the boys, but he
was caught and fined 115, in default
of which he Is in Jail.
A warrant is . out for William
Wright on a similar charge, but as he
has left theclty It could not be served
today. There is little ,use of trying
to protect the health of the city by
quarantine if those who are quaran
tined violate the same. This may
serve as a warning to others.
