He waa In terested in the' lumber and wood mar kets, and ' reports everything .exceed ingly quiet just at present, but things will open up within the next two months. Mr. Hamilton has two crews at work cutting wood and will add an other crew Monday. .He will cut 1000 cords. Walla Walla wood dealers ex pect to place their annual contracts early In the spring,. While the prices will not rule as high as last year, the quantities consumed will be about the same. Tho price of coal In Walla Walla will have Its effect on keeping the price of wood down.
